Beauty in Trauma : residency at Deconstrukt in Red Hook, Brooklyn, NYC
I worked at Deconstrukt to create a series of public art installations about the loss of my family in NY's East River in an accident in 2011. The work seeks to create a platform for open communication about loss and the beauty that can exist on a micro level, within fine details, when you are grieving, amidst a macro level of trauma. I wished to tell stories of loss and hope that the public can access. Watch the film here and read press here + here !
